Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has sparked injury fears ahead of Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United.

Erik ten Hag’s side have just two full days to prepare for the Wembley showpiece after playing against Barcelona last night. The Red Devils advanced into the last 16 of the Europa League after goals from Fred and Antony cancelled out Robert Lewandowski’s opener to win 4-3 on aggregate.

Rashford was replaced by Scott McTominay in the 88th minute , shortly after receiving treatment following a challenge from Barca defender Ronald Araujo. Not many supporters thought too much of it, but the England international’s recent Instagram story has suggested there could be a problem.

The 25-year-old posted an image of him walking down the touchline at Old Trafford carrying his left boot alongside bandaged head emoji, which usually indicates an injury. Footage shared on social media after the match also appeared to show Rashford walking with a slight limp.

Rashford has been in the form of life this campaign having scored 24 goals in 37 appearances. Ten Hag will hope the player is fit to feature at Wembley with another one of his attackers also an injury doubt.
