And it’s fair to say the victory went down well with the United ownership. Ghodoussi, from his Twitter account, posted: “Love these guys, hearts of lions. We keep going, a game at a time.”

The PCP Capital Partners director’s message came after fellow co-owner Jamie Reuben expressed his own joy at the result. He said: “What a team - thank you to the traveling supporters for making the long journey - Up the Mags.”

In response to that, Ghodoussi also tweeted: “They are the best….especially the topless ones in the front.”
