Newcastle United’s owners post heartfelt message to Magpies fans after Southampton win

Newcastle United co-owner Jamie Reuben has taken to Twitter to express his delight after the Magpies’ latest Premier League win.

Newcastle United made it six wins out of seven in the Premier League to climb to third in the top flight table with a win against Southampton.

The 4-1 triumph was achieved thanks to goals from Miguel Almiron, as ever, Chris Wood, Joe Willock and Bruno Guimaraes.

Romain Perraud grabbed a consolation for the Saints, who drop into the bottom three.

And the contrasting fortunes of the sides has been celebrated by United co-owner Jamie Reuben, who has a 10% stake in the football club alongside Amanda Staveley’s PCP Capital Partners and majority shareholders, the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia.

In the aftermath of the St Mary’s win, Reuben took to Twitter to discuss his thoughts.

He said: “What a team - thank you to the traveling supporters for making the long journey - Up the Mags.”
