‘My expectations have never been so low’: Arsenal are terrified of Newcastle United

Newcastle United face a tough challenge today against title contenders Arsenal however the mood around town couldn’t be better.

United fans are confident and raring to go, counting down the hours until the 4:30 kick-off at St James’ Park.

Interestingly, however, this feeling isn’t being reciprocated by fans of the North London club.

On social media their mood is hesitant, with one fan stating: ‘My expectations have never been this low before a match this season like this particular match Dear gooners let’s lower our expectations to save us from heartbreak.’

Another fan relented: ‘Most obvious 2/3-0 L today.’

Manchester City haven’t lost a Premier League game since February and have overtaken Arsenal leaving many Gunners anxious about the title race.

However, some fans are determined to remain optimistic despite admitting the fear Newcastle United’s form has created in the camp.

As one supporter tweeted: ‘We need to fight hard, they are a strong team with physicality and the mentality of winning. They are ambitious. We need to put on our best performance to secure the 3 points and stay in the competition. It’s not over yet.’

One thing’s certain, United are a threat and Arsenal fans are incredibly nervous.
