As well as season tickets for the 2022/23 season, the Tyneside club are also selling memberships which went on sale to purchase yesterday (Thursday June 30).

Here is all we know about the NUFC memberships...

What is included in the membership?

Those who sign up for a Newcastle United membership will have an advantage at getting tickets for home games, with a membership sale taking place before they go to general sale.

Other perks include discounts on hospitality and stadium tours at St. James’ Park.

How much does a membership cost?

Two different types of membership went on sale yesterday - the Black & White membership and a Junior Magpie membership.

Adults are priced at £35 and juniors will set you back £20 - plus a £1.95 booking fee.

How many memberships have been sold?

Newcastle fans are clearly very excited for the season ahead and were desperate to get their hands on membership.

Despite there being no limit on the amount of memberships available, thousands of supporters were in a virtual queue yesterday morning.

It was claimed that over 40,000 people had queued up for the memberships by the afternoon, according to Geordie Boot Boys.

While it is unclear how many fans did buy a membership in the end, if the 40k+ fans in the queue each purchased one then they could almost fill the whole of St. James’ Park themselves.

How many season tickets have been sold?

Newcastle United already had over 30,000 season ticket holders prior to this summer, with renewals reaching unprecedented levels following the conclusion last season.

As a result, the club released around 1000 season tickets on Tuesday morning which were snapped up in just over an hour.

It was reported that over 30,000 queued on the club’s website to get their hands on one of the few remaining season tickets.

With all tickets now sold, it brings the tally into the late 30,000 mark.
