Reflecting on when fans came to visit before the Brentford game last year, Hanwell Town's Head of Marketing and Social Media Elsa said: "It was a great vibe. Everyone was really up for it.

"Our chairman who is 84 years old welcomed everyone who came in and shook their hand which was a lovely moment. The support from Newcastle fans has been massive for the club, we are super grateful for all the help we’ve received.

"Before Wembley, we had over 300 Newcastle United fans drinking at the club, everyone was great and generously donated to our new stand which we’ve managed to get!"

Newcastle United's first away day in the upcoming Premier League season will be at the home of Champions Manchester City, the Etihad Stadium, in Gameweek 2. That fixture comes after the visit of Aston Villa to St James' Park and before Liverpool come to Tyneside in Gameweek 3.
