Newcastle United fans need magic sleigh for festive away days as travel mileage compared with Man Utd & rivals

Newcastle United fans are braced for a long time on the road to follow the club this Christmas.

Newcastle United supporters could do with their very own Santa's sleigh this festive period as away fans face very long away trips on either side of Boxing Day. The Magpies are used to long journeys for Premier League fixtures given the lack of North East company in the top flight but two treks across the country during festivities is a tough pill to swallow with the importance of family time high and finances potentially low.

At the other end of the scale, some lucky Premier League supporters have just one away fixture to contend with around Christmas, which is even in the same city for certain London clubs.

NewcastleWorld has looked at how far each Premier League club will travel for matches between December 21 and January 2. Newcastle United's midweek visit to Chelsea in the Carabao Cup takes place on December 19, this has not been included in the travel mileage but further highlights the journeys that will be undertaken by Magpies fans this Christmas.
