Newcastle United impress, Chelsea & Liverpool struggle: Market value v Premier League position

The market value of Premier League clubs in comparison to their current position in the table.

Just over 17 months have passed since a Saudi-led consortium finally brought an end to Mike Ashley’s 13-year ownership at Newcastle United.

After almost three years of waiting and many months of red tape holding up the £330m deal, the Magpies finally sat on the edge of what seemed to be a new and exciting era when the prolonged takeover finally reached a successful conclusion on a memorable Thursday evening in October 2021.

Since then, the landscape at Gallowgate has changed beyond recognition with United swapping a battle to avoid relegation into the Championship for battling to reach the Champions League for the first time since the days when Alan Shearer and Craig Bellamy were wearing black and white and Sir Bobby Robson was in the home dugout at St James Park.

The market value of the club has changed significantly since that October evening as changes on and off the park continue to be made - but how does the value of Newcastle United compare to their Premier League position?
