Defender linked

Newcastle are being linked with a move for Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan Ndicka. The 23-year-old has been a key player for the Bundesliga side since joining them back in 2018 from Auxerre and helped them win the Europa League last term.

According to a report by Romagiallorossa, Eddie Howe’s side are keen on landing him along with fellow top flight side Tottenham Hotspur. Roma and AC Milan have both also been mentioned as potential suitors. The ex-France youth international is out of contract at the end of this campaign and is due to become a free agent next summer.

Winger latest

Borussia Monchengladbach winger Marcus Thuram is seemingly a man in-demand at the moment. Like Ndicka, his deal expires in June 2023 and he is yet to pen a new deal meaning he is increasingly likely to depart.

Football Insider claim Newcastle are ‘prepared’ to fork out £10million for his signature in the January transfer window and are ‘willing’ to get him prematurely. Gladbach have a big decision to make if that sort of money comes in as they risk losing him for nothing if they don’t accept.
