His form with the latter of that quartet saw Gallagher handed a maiden call-up to the England senior squad and he earned the first of four caps during a 10-0 win in San Marino last November.
He returned to Chelsea this summer and made a long-awaited senior debut when he came on as a late substitute in Saturday’s 1-0 win at Everton.
Gallagher has recently earned the praise of Blues manager Thomas Tuchel, who described the midfielder as ‘a big asset’ during his side’s recent tour of the United States.

“He made a huge step in his development at Crystal Palace and became an England player.
“We can see this clearly in training. It was a very good start and a good match for him.”
“Now, for him, it's important he gets used to our principles of the game, to understand when to move and when not to move, and his work rate is outstanding, and he has such a big heart. He can be a big asset for us.”

It remains to be seen whether Gallagher will be handed a chance to shine in a competitive midfield at Chelsea or if he will be allowed to depart on loan once again this season.
90Min have reported Newcastle have made an enquiry for the midfielder almost 12 months after he was initially targeted by former Magpies manager Bruce.
Premier League rivals West Ham United and Crystal Palace are also said to be keen on securing the services of the England star.
