Newcastle United, Man Utd, West Ham and Chelsea intriguing spots in Premier League table with no VAR

Here is where Newcastle United and their rivals sit in the Premier League table without VAR

Newcastle United came out on the right end of a decision from the Video Assistant Referee in Saturday's win at Nottingham Forest - but it hasn't always been that way this season! There were nerves around when Magpies goalkeeper Martin Dubravka collided with Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi after the former Union Berlin man had broken in behind the United defence with the scores level.

All focus turned towards on-field referee Anthony Taylor, who immediately waved away protests from the City Ground faithful and his decision was backed up by VAR official Tony Harrington after he watched multiple replays of the incident. There were some that believed the incorrect call had been made as the likes of Magpies legend Alan Shearer and former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher stressed Eddie Howe's side had been fortunate not to have given away a penalty.

Despite that let-off, VAR has caused issues for the Magpies in the past after they have come out on the wrong end of some poor decisions - but how would the current Premier League table look if VAR had not been introduced?
