Matthias Jaissle says Newcastle United will go “all in” for their Carabao Cup last 16 tie away to Everton.
The Magpies will be backed by 7,700 away supporters at the Hill Dickinson Stadium as they look to advance into the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup for a fifth successive campaign.
Jaissle’s side head to Merseyside boosted by their 2-0 win at Crystal Palace in the Premier League on a Sunday, a result that ended a run of two straight defeats, and the German manager isn’t planning any major changes from that starting line-up.
United face Everton twice in five days, hosting David Moyes’ side at St James’ Park in the Premier League on Monday night.
“Due to the history now from the club in that competition, I have the same approach to play with the best possible line-up,” Jaissle told reporters at his pre-match press conference. “This is clear.
“I heard now we're getting huge support, again, in an away match, really special, during a week having [nearly] 8,000 fans with us, taking the journey to support us.
“That's something which shows the importance about that competition, and we will for sure also be aligned with that and go all in.”
Here’s how Newcastle United are predicted to line-up:

6. LB: Lewis Hall
Hall is one of the first names on the teamsheet and it’s hard to see that changing. | Getty Images

7. CM: Nico Gonzalez
Even in defeats against Coventry City and Aston Villa, Gonzalez was the standout performer. He was at Palace on Sunday too, and this time he had the result to show for it. | Getty Images

8. CM: Joelinton
It’s still early days, but it seems Joelinton complements Gonzalez quite well due to his ability to cover lots of ground and impose himself physically. | Getty Images
