Matthias Jaissle says Newcastle United will go “all in” for their Carabao Cup last 16 tie away to Everton.
The Magpies will be backed by 7,700 away supporters at the Hill Dickinson Stadium as they look to advance into the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup for a fifth successive campaign.
Jaissle’s side head to Merseyside boosted by their 2-0 win at Crystal Palace in the Premier League on a Sunday, a result that ended a run of two straight defeats, and the German manager isn’t planning any major changes from that starting line-up.
United face Everton twice in five days, hosting David Moyes’ side at St James’ Park in the Premier League on Monday night.
“Due to the history now from the club in that competition, I have the same approach to play with the best possible line-up,” Jaissle told reporters at his pre-match press conference. “This is clear.
“I heard now we're getting huge support, again, in an away match, really special, during a week having [nearly] 8,000 fans with us, taking the journey to support us.
“That's something which shows the importance about that competition, and we will for sure also be aligned with that and go all in.”
Here’s how Newcastle United are predicted to line-up:

10. LW: Harvey Barnes

11. AM: Joe Willock
After almost leaving in the summer, Willock has established himself as a regular since Matthias Jaissle arrived as head coach. | Getty Images

12. ST: Yoane Wissa (in for Will Osula)
Osula is only recently back from injury, so depending on how he is physically, Newcastle might not want to take any risks. If that’s the case, Wissa likely starts. | Getty Images
