Winger eyed

Newcastle are reportedly ‘ready’ to launch a summer swoop for Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes, according to Football Insider. The 25-year-old’s future at the King Power Stadium will be uncertain if they are to be relegated to the Championship this season as they currently sit in 19th place in the table.

The once-capped England international is a key player for the Foxes and has been on the books of his current club for his whole career to date. He has also had loan spells away in the past in the Football League at MK Dons, Barnsley and West Brom to gain experience.

Attacker on radar

Newcastle are being linked with a move for Red Bull Salzburg attacker Noah Okafor at the end of this campaign. Il Mattino claim the Toon Army are interested in potentially luring the Switzerland international to England to bolster their attacking options ahead of the next campaign.

He has scored 10 goals so far this term and is four shy of his tally from last year. Howe’s side aren’t the only club in the frame though with Arsenal, Juventus and AC Milan also credited with an interest.
