Newcastle United Carabao Cup hero spotted at city airport as WAG shares arrival video

Newcastle United Carabao Cup hero Sandro Tonali was spotted out and about at Newcastle Airport this week - but don’t worry, he isn’t going anywhere. In fact, he was showing his romantic side after greeting his wife-to-be, Juliette Pastore back to the city.

The pair have been smitten on social media over the last few months after announcing their engagement earlier this year. Tonali and Pastore briefly split last year while the player was in the midst of his worldwide ban from football for betting activity while at AC Milan. However, Pastore has moved back to Tyneside to live with the Magpies’ star, who has been the club’s player of the back end of the season as they ended a 70-year domestic trophy drought at Wembley in March and continue their drive towards a Champions League return.

Brighton v Newcastle United: Sandro Tonali prepares

Tonali has this week been preparing for the club’s crunch clash with Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday afternoon. Eddie Howe’s Magpies head down to the south coast knowing the game is a ‘must not lose’, with two out of their last three Premier League encounters of the campaign on home turf - v Chelsea and then Everton on the last day. A win, however, depending on results elsewhere, has the potential to catapult one foot into the competition already, with the likes of Chelsea facing tough games against Liverpool, and Nottingham Forest at Crystal Palace on Monday night.

Newcastle don’t have the greatest of records v Brighton, though, having not won down there in the Premier League. The Seagulls have also beaten United twice this season, knocking them out the FA Cup just prior to the club’s historic win down at Wembley.

Putting his game prep on hold, Tonali took the time this week to welcome his other half back to Tyneside. And the NUFC WAG recorded it all to share via social media. Pastore shared the video of Tonali turning up outside the terminal to the north of the city, with their dog, to greet her from her flight. It was shared to her Instagram story this week.

Pastore has been away to Miami, in the US, sharing a whole host of tropical snaps. She was pictured enjoying the sun on the beach as well as posting arty images of the Florida city, much like she does on her wanders around Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
