Newcastle United supporters are divided over a leak of Adidas’ design for the 2024-25 campaign.
As of yet, there has been no official confirmation from the club regarding next season’s much-anticipated kit. A lucrative £40million per year deal with the German sports giant commences this year and the home shirt is expected to be released on June 7.

Hide AdAdidas previously supplied Newcastle’s kits from 1995-2010 and created some of the club’s most iconic jerseys. Castore had been the manufacturer since 2021 but complaints about quality and customer service - as well as the paltry £5million per year fee - forced Toon chiefs into a rethink.
A temporary Adidas shop is being constructed outside of St James’ Park ahead of the launch. The official club store and JD Sports will also sell the kit that, so far, is yet to be announced.
Social media is rife with speculation regarding the release and one fan account claims to have solved the puzzle. The user posted a photo of an Adidas jersey said to have been confirmed by “multiple people” - with a nod towards the 2001-03 shirt.

However, fans were divided, with some expecting more from the retail behemoth. A fan posted: “Underwhelming is the perfect word to describe it. But in reality that's all it could ever have looked like.”

I thought they may have given a nod to the 1995-96 ‘button shirt’ seeing it’s the first Adidas-sponsored shirt for many years!”
NewcastleWorld understands the image does closely resemble the real design set to be released next month. Sources have also confirmed the Magpies will ditch the red numbers - reintroduced by Puma in 2017.
