Dan Burn and Matt Targett, viewed as potential contenders to be selected, have not been included.
Callum Wilson, who scored twice during the Magpies’ 2-1 win at Burnley on Sunday, will have one eye on making November’s World Cup squad, if he can maintain his fitness.
Trippier made his first start since February on the final day of the Premier League season at Turf Moor.
