Newcastle United supporters have last laugh as Everton suffer howler
Newcastle United supporters can sleep comfortably knowing Adidas are their club’s new supplier after Everton suffered the latest Castore nightmare.
Toon chiefs ended the £5million per year deal with the British sports manufacturer early, with Adidas taking charge from the current season onwards. The German retail giants previously enjoyed a 15-year relationship with Newcastle between 1995 and 2010.

Concerns over quality and availability forced the Magpies to end the partnership and strike a lucrative agreement with Adidas. Castore - who design kits for the England cricket team and Rangers - have come under further scrutiny following Everton’s pre-season clash with Sligo Rovers.
In their first game since penning a £20million per season deal, footage showed the Everton badge falling off Idrissa Gueye’s jersey during the 1-1 ore-season draw. Newcastle fans were quick to poke fun at the Toffees after enduring similar struggles in recent years.
One supporter wrote on social media: “Buying a fake one from the market would be much better quality than the real one!”
