The USA international has been with the Blues since joining for £58m in 2019 and has scored 25 goals in 118 games for them in all competitions to date.

Midfielder on radar

Howe is reportedly trying to sign midfielder Kouadio Kone from Borussia Monchengladbach.

The France U21 international has been playing in the Bundesliga since 2021 after rising up through the youth ranks at Toulouse.

French news outlet L’Equipe has reported that the Toon Army are making a ‘push’ to lure him over to England before the end of the month.

Another potential addition mentioned

LAFC midfielder Jose Cifuentes is another name who is said to be on Newcastle’s radar.

The Ecuador international has caught the eye playing in the MLS over the past few years.

According to a report by The Sun, the North East outfit are making ‘hurried checks’ on him along with fellow top flight teams Leeds United and Brighton and Hove Albion.
