Winger blow

Newcastle target Jarrod Bowen ‘wants to stay’ at West Ham this summer, according to a report by The Mirror. The England international, who is 27-years-old, is settled at the London Stadium and has no plans to leave London anytime soon.

The Hammers signed him back in 2020 and he has since scored 60 goals in 202 games in all competitions, 20 of which came in this past term. Prior to his move there, he fired 54 goals in 131 outings for Hull City and has made the step up to the top flight with ease.

Bowen is one of West Ham’s main players and will have a big part to play for them under their new manager Julen Lopetegui. The Spaniard has been picked as their replacement for David Moyes.

Goalkeeper update

Newcastle ‘will not’ be signing Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale ahead of next season, Football Insider claim. He has been linked with a switch to the North East over recent times after losing the number one spot at the Emirates Stadium to David Raya.

Ramsdale moved down south in 2021 and has since made 89 appearances in all competitions under Mikel Arteta. He has also had spells at Sheffield United and AFC Bournemouth in the past and his future is up in the air at the moment amid suggestions that he will move on soon.
