James Tarkowski is undergoing a medical at Everton ahead of his move from Burnley.
The defender is set to join Frank Lampard’s side on a free transfer with his contract at Turf Moor up at the end of the month.

Tarkowski refused to commit his future to the Clarets throughout the season and his departure became a certainty after their relegation from the Premier League.

The 29-year-old, having been considered by Newcastle United in January, remained on the club’s radar this summer but a move was unlikely, with other targets preferred.
That put Everton, Aston Villa and Leeds United in pole position, with Lampard acting swiftly to secure the two-capped England international’s services.
Tarkowski is expected to sign a four-year deal at Goodison Park, according to The Athletic.

Meanwhile, Newcastle are set to announce Aston Villa left-back Matt Targett as their first summer signing.
The 26-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at St James’ Park, is undergoing a medical today.
It is understood the transfer will cost United £12million.
