Newcastle United are reportedly showing interest in Arsenal attacking midfielder Amario Cozier-Duberry.

The Gunners want to keep the 18-year-old, who is out of contract this summer. Fresh talks have taken place but no agreement has yet been struck, which has alerted a number of clubs. As per the Evening Standard, Cozier-Duberry's situation is being monitored by Newcastle, Borussia Dortmund, Ajax and Anderlecht.

Cozier-Duberry has been tipped for a big future having impressed for Arsenal at youth level. He played a vital role in the club’s run to the FA Youth Cup final last season where he was compared to Buyako Saka.

“Amario is very exciting and Mikel [Arteta] likes him,” Arsenal under-18s boss Jack Wilshere told the Athletic last year. “He reminds me of Bukayo Saka, plays in the same position as him, needs to get better with his decision-making like Bukayo did, but he’s definitely exciting.

“In some moments he’s unplayable. You give him the ball and he can make things happen. You can set up a team and have a game plan, but when you’ve got individuals like that you’ve got a chance.”

Cozier-Duberry is yet to make his senior debut for Arsenal but he has regularly trained and toured with Mikel Arteta'a first-team.

Last week, Newcastle agreed to sign Manchester City under-18s midfielder Alfie Harrison for an undisclosed.

"We welcome him into the football club," said United boss Eddie Howe. "I wasn't directly involved in that transfer but certainly, he's a highly talented player and we hope he does really well with us."

Harrison, who joined Man City's academy aged nine, has scored eight times in eight Premier League U18s games and made his under-21s debut in December.

He's also trained with Pep Guardiola's first team. It's claimed Harrison has drawn comparisons to Erling Haaland for "their visual resemblance and has recorded an impressive goal and assist statistics for their age-group teams".
