Newcastle United & West Ham eye move for former Leeds United assist king
Newcastle United and West Ham United are reportedly keeping tabs on Ipswich Town left-back Leif Davis.
The 24-year-old has been one of the stars of The Tractor Boys' unexpected Premier League promotion push having claimed an impressive 14 assists this campaign.

Hide AdDavis is a boyhood Newcastle fan and previously represented Wallsend Boys Club before joining Morecambe's academy and then Leeds United.
“I’ve always been a huge fan and had a season ticket at St James’ Park for years," said Davis. When I first went to watch them there was Ryan Taylor and Fabricio Coloccini. Then there was Yohan Cabaye and Gabriel Obertan.
“My favourite games were the European nights when I went up there with my dad and brother. Hopefully a chance might present itself to get a few Champions League games this season.”
Davis made 14 senior appearances for Leeds, which included two Premier League appearances against Manchester United and Manchester City and a loan spell at AFC Bournemouth.

Hide AdHe left to join Ipswich in a deal worth just £1.2million in 2022 and in his first season won automatic promotion from League One. Davis has started all but three Championship games this term as Kieran McKenna's side sit third in the table, level on points with second place Leeds.
TalkSPORT claim both Newcastle and West Ham are showing an interest in Davis, despite the Magpies having an obligation to sign Lewis Hall from Chelsea for £28m in the summer.
Meanwhile, The Hammers are in the market for a new left-back as they look to replace long-serving Aaron Cresswell.
