The former Liverpool and Chelsea striker enjoyed his best goal-scoring season last time out, netting 21 times in 42 appearances as he narrowly missed out on an England Euro 2024 call-up.

The 26-year-old was signed by Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe for Bournemouth five years ago for £19m from Liverpool.
Solanke has been regularly linked with a move to St James’ Park but Howe admitted in January that Newcastle couldn’t afford him because of Premier League Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
“We didn’t make a move for Solanke, we can’t sign him,” said Howe. “I love Solanke, I signed him for Bournemouth and rate him very highly. But we have not made an enquiry for him and we don’t have the ability to sign a player of that level."

Hide AdNewcastle had been in the market for a striker but rather than splash big money, Howe has opted to recruit a young and high potential back up to Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson.
That is William Osula, who arrived from Sheffield United earlier this week for an initial £10m, which could rise to £15m in add-ons. He is set to make his debut today against Stade Brestois at St James’ Park.
