It also saw Newcastle record three straight wins over the Red Devils for the first time since 1922.
Less than 24 hours later, Becky Langley's Lasses welcomed West Bromwich Albion to Kingston Park and Becky Ferguson's late winner maintained the Lady Magpies' unbeaten start to the season, and move top of the FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division table.
