The four Newcastle United players invited to Joelinton’s plush birthday house party

Newcastle United Player of the Season Joelinton put on a plush birthday bash on Sunday evening.

The striker-turned-midfielder celebrated his 26th birthday on Sunday, August 14 and invited his nearest and dearest to his home for a celebration.

Images shared on social media showed the gathering outside his luxury home with a fancy black and gold balloon display, a massive light-up number 26, a glittery wall and a classy-looking two-tier birthday cake.

As well as friends and family, Joelinton was joined by a select number of Newcastle United colleagues who posed for a photo with the Brazilian and his youngster in front of the balloon display.

Only four fellow Magpies players featured in the image shared online, although there's a chance others were also in attendance but avoided the group picture.

The snap of the smiling Newcastle stars was shared on Federico Fernandez's Instagram story.

Alongside the Argentinian defender and Joelinton were Paraguayan Miguel Almiron, Swedish defender Emil Krafth and fellow Brazilian Bruno Guimaraes.

Writing on top of the picture, Fernandez said: "Feliz cunpleanos Pai."

Fernandez and Almiron attended alongside their partners, with the Argentian's wife Florencia Urdangarin posting a video of Joelinton and the family dancing and clapping as attendees appeared to sing Happy Birthday in Portuguese.

Joelinton shared his own images from the birthday party on Instagram.

He posed with his two children and partner Thays Gondim, with whom he shared a smooch in another image.

Fans on social media flocked to the comments on Joelinton's post to wish the bulldozing midfielder many happy returns.

Others simply posted the goat emoji to recognise the star's ‘Greatest Of All Time’ status on Tyneside.
