Newcastle United have made a mixed start to the 2022/23 season.
On one hand, they have only lost one Premier League game. On the other, they have only won one after becoming draw specialists by taking a point from four of the their first six games during the opening month of the campaign.
But so much has been squeezed into the first five weeks with VAR controversy, a shock record signing, an eventful six-goal thriller with Manchester City and Wor Flags producing some memorable displays.
That’s without mentioning some genuine goal of the season contenders, a visit from Sam Fender and that heartbreaking late defeat at Anfield.
Who knows what lies ahead as we await the Magpies next Premier League fixture but we are sure they will be many more memorable moments created between now and the end of May.
For now, NewcastleWorld takes a look back at some intriguing images from the first month of the season.
