Thomas Frank was unhappy with Josh Dasilva’s red card during Brentford’s 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United.
Dasilva was dismissed in the 10th-minute after Mike Dean reviewed his late challenge on Matt Targett at the VAR pitchside monitor.

Replays showed the Magpies left-back, on loan from Aston Villa, was lucky to leave the Brentford Community Stadium unharmed.
Frank, unhappy with Dean’s decision, told Sky Sports: “I understand why it’s given (but) I think it’s a random situation that had no intention to make the foul.
“It was a situation where he tried to step over and protect the ball and move forward.

“Coincidentally, he hit the player and that turned into a red card that decided the game.”
Targett managed to play on as first-half goals from Joelinton and Joe Willock earned United a vital three points.

It was Eddie Howe side’s fourth win in five matches, extending the unbeaten run to seven games.
As result, Newcastle have climbed away from Premier League relegation zone, holding a four-point advantage ahead of hosting Brighton next weekend.
