Newcastle United and Everton go head-to-head for the second time in four days at St James’ Park tonight.
The Magpies travelled to Merseyside in the last 16 of the Carabao Cup on Thursday evening but suffered a 3-1 defeat. Now Matthias Jaissle’s side will look to gain revenge in the Premier League.
United head into the game sitting 12th in the Premier League table, one point above the Toffees, but will move up to seventh with a victory.
Team news-wise, Newcastle are expected to be without Will Osula after the 23-year-old striker was forced off at half-time during last week’s cup match after rolling his ankle. The young Dane had only just returned from another ankle injury.
Meanwhile, £51 million summer signing Matias Fernandez-Pardo and Lewis Miley also remain doubtful, having missed the last two games with illness and a glute problem, respectively.
So, how will Newcastle United line up against Everton? Here’s our predicted XI:

9. RW: Anthony Elanga (in for Jacob Murphy)
It’s no secret how important Elanga is regarded by Jaissle. After back-to-back substitute appearances after injury, it now feels like the right time for a starting XI recall. | AFP via Getty Images

10. LW: Harvey Barnes
Is capable of scoring goals, which can’t be said for others. Was taken off at half-time last week with this game in mind. | Getty Images

11. AM: Joe Willock
Newcastle lack a proper No.10 but of those limited options, Willock is the obvious pick right now. Yoane Wissa has been dreadful of late. | Getty Images

12. ST: Yoane Wissa (in for Will Osula)
Having said that, if Will Osula is out, which it sounds like he might be, then Wissa will have to start up front with Matias Fernandez-Pardo a doubt due to illness. | Getty Images
