Kylian Mbappe has told Newcastle United to expect a reaction from Paris Saint-Germain following their defeat AC Milan.

The French giants lost 2-1 at the San Siro on Tuesday night. Milan Skriniar handed PSG the lead but goals from Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud completed the turnaround for Milan.

"It's a defeat, it hurts," said Mbappe. "But we have to look forward. We still have our destiny in our hands and we're going to do everything we can to win at home and give ourselves some breathing space in this group.

"The fans? I'd like to thank the fans for their support. On the pitch, we didn't do what we wanted to do, but they were there, they encouraged us and we're going to react well against Newcastle.

"What about the last two games? We'll play our first game at home. We have a lot of confidence at home. So the first game is at home, we've got to go and win it and then we've got to make progress for this last away game."

Newcastle travel to Paris on November 28. Borussia Dortmund top Group F with seven points. PSG are in second with six, AC Milan with five and Newcastle with four.

PSG boss Luis Enrique added:"It was a bit of a crazy match. I think we started the game really well - we scored the goal. But there was a moment when we lost control. We got into a blow-for-blow kind of phase. We're a strong team in that aspect of the game, but so are they. And they could have equalised very early on.

"We continued to create chances - we had chances to take the lead. I remember one very clear chance from Ousmane and another from Kylian. The truth is that it's a shame because the match was very evenly balanced and could have gone either way.

"The last two matches? They'll be two finals, without a doubt. Today was already a final, because with the Dortmund result, if we'd won, we'd almost have qualified. But, well, it was the group of death and that's why we call it that. We'll need all the support we can get from our fans. Today, it was important to see so many Parisian fans supporting us and we hope to return the favour with results."
