City beat Nottingham Forest ahead of their trip to Newcastle but will be without key midfielder Rodri who was sent off for violent conduct early in the second half.
Speaking about the mood in the Magpies camp following their win, Howe said on Tuesday: “Initially, the feeling in the dressing room was very good. The atmosphere I think has always been good around the group, spirits are high.
“But I think nothing can replicate scoring goals, feeling good about the team. Different goalscorers as well which is a great thing to see, we’re not relying on one person.
