Newcastle United star Sandro Tonali shocked supporters by celebrating his competitive debut on Saturday by booking a table at a local Wetherspoons.
Football fans across the country loved the midfielder's down-to-earth night out and now NewcastleWorld looks at which other Wetherspoons venues could attract Magpies stars.
The chain owns 12 pubs across Newcastle, Gateshead, North Tyneside and South Tyneside. We have a look at each one and decide which Newcastle United star is best suited to the venue.
1. The Five Swans - Tino Livramento
Bang in between the two universities, The Five Swans is a student hotspot. For many young adults, it may be one of the first pubs they go to in Newcastle and 20-year-old Tino Livramento could find plenty of chums his age here having just arrived from Southampton. | Google Streetview Photo: Google Streetview
2. The Mile Castle - Dan Burn
The Mile Castle has a dancefloor upstairs so it’s got to be for the man with the moves himself, Dan Burn. | Google Streetview Photo: Google Streetview
3. The Quayside - Bruno Guimaraes
As far as Wetherspoons go, there’s something quite classy about The Quayside with its views over the river. Bruno Guimaraes is a man with good taste so he can take this one, plus it’s a short walk to his favourite steak joint Rio’s. | Google Streetview Photo: Google Streetview
4. The Keel Row - Nick Pope
The Keel Row is sometimes forgotten about given its tucked inside The Gate. It’s not far from Burger King, so Nick Pope might fancy calling in on here to wash down a Whopper. | Google Streetview Photo: Google Streetview
