The Late Shows series are set to hit the North East with dozens of galleries, museums and studio collectives coming together for a free late-night cultural crawl.

Two dates are planned for the Late Show Culture Crawl which will feature plenty of independent North East artists.

Dates for The Late Shows include Friday May 13 in Ouseburn and the Saturday following where central Newcastle, the quayside and Gateshead will open up to a number of culture-themed events.

Friday has some exclusive offers on from The Biscuit Factory, Cobalt Studios, Sheffield Art Works and Northern Print.

Saturday is set to offer a wider range of events throughout Newcastle City Centre, Gateshead and the quayside.

Around Gateshead, the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Shiley Art Gallery and Gateshead Central Library will all play host alongside Academy of Music & Sound and Orbis Community.

The areas of Central and Quayside in Newcastle are set to showcase a good variety of science, discovery and art with the Life Science Centre, Newcastle Cathedral and Newcastle Arts Centre all open.

The Black Swan, The Common Room and The Pattern Shop are among the venues open for exploration.

Newcastle City Centre and Haymarket will also play host to a number of events, all of which are listed below.
