The film won the World Cinema Documentary directing award at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival in 2020.

The Tyneside Cinema is showing the film at 6:10 pm on Sunday, March 20 and all funds raised will be donated to grassroots organisations providing humanitarian aid in Ukraine.

Those with a focus on medical provisions and refugee support will be prioritised.

Before the film, from 5:30 pm, there will be stalls, art and conversation on the ongoing crisis.

The Earth is Blue as an Orange is rated 18 and runs for one hour and 14 minutes.

Tyneside Cinema is warning customers that the film will start promptly at 6:10 pm.
