A Winter Wonderland event will be coming to Newcastle this festive season.
It's now less than two months until Christmas rolls around once again and families are starting to think ahead to the big day.

After last year's Tyneside Christmas celebrations were restricted due to lockdowns, it's set to be a resurgent festive season in and around the city this year.
Whilst some events won't be coming back, Newcastle city centre's Christmas Market and the in-person Fenwick Christmas Window launch are two missing from the diary this year, there are still plenty of events to get excited about.
One of those is the Winter Wonderland taking place at Newcastle Racecourse in Gosforth.

Organisers are promising something for all the family in a set-up that has similarities to the similarly named blockbuster London event in Hyde Park.
An ice skating rink is set to be the main attraction, although there will also be fairground rides from Hook a Duck to the Ice Jet.

Street food sellers will also be in attendance, serving up goodies from Chinese noodles to tasty Yorkshire Pudding wraps.
For the adults, there'll be mulled wine and German beer too.
The Winter Wonderland will run from Friday, November 19 until Sunday, January 2.
