South Tyneside takeaway given new food hygiene rating

A South Tyneside takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

JJ's Deli, a takeaway at 20 North Road, Boldon Colliery, Tyne & Wear was given the score after assessment on June 30, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Tyneside's 147 takeaways with ratings, 67 (46%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
