Some of the city’s most popular lunchtime haunts have signed up to take part including early adopters The Muddler, Kaltur and Twenty Twenty, and there’s a broad range of venues varying from grab-and-go to sit-down restaurants.

NE1’s Lunch Club is another initiative to support the hospitality industry and is based on the highly popular and widely imitated NE1 Newcastle Restaurant Week event, which operates on fixed price points.

Diners will be able to enjoy lunch deals across the city every Tuesday, with the available times varying from venue to venue.

Newcastle Restaurant Week was created to bolster the restaurant industry during traditionally quieter periods of the year. It has transformed the two weeks it is held into two of the busiest.

The Lunch Club is aiming for the same results, with organisers hoping to provide much-needed support to the hospitality industry during a period identified as the quietest, and offering diners fantastic value weekly at a host of venues.
