Sex offender with sickening collection of child abuse images jailed

A sex offender caught with a sickening collection of child abuse images has been put behind bars.
Paul Holmes was locked up for two years in Cardiff in 2011 for making and distributing vile images of youngsters.
Newcastle Crown Court heard in April last year police went to his home and found he was using an app that deleted his internet history, which he was banned from doing due to a sexual offences prevention order.

When his internet devices were examined a total of 97 indecent images of children were found.
The court heard when police paid him another visit in four months later, while he was released under investigation, they found 15 undeclared internet devices.
Holmes, 69, of Kyloe Place, Newcastle, admitted breaching the sexual offences prevention order and possessing indecent images.
Mr Recorder Tom Moran sentenced him to 16 months behind bars.
The court heard Holmes has no other convictions, has served in the armed forces and is motivated to rehabilitate himself.
