First look: Newcastle Pride stage, rides, food and drink prices as gates open

UK Pride has finally arrived in Newcastle as Northern Pride whirrs into action.

The LGBQ+ community in the North East will come together to celebrate Pride on the Town Moor across the weekend.

A ticketed fundraiser event will kick off proceedings on the Friday night before a free festival on Satuday and Sunday.

There'll also be a Pride parade through the centre of Newcastle at lunchtime on Saturday.

NewcastleWorld was one of the first into the arena on Friday night to scope out the stage, activities, bars and drink prices.

Here's what you can expect from the Northern Pride location over the weekend.

5. Mister Softee

Friday is a ticketed event but Saturday and Sunday is free admission.

Drag Race UK star Bimini and singer Todrick Hall are up first on Friday.

Organisers have prioritised local talent over the weekend.

Platinum ticket holders get access to an exclusive bar.
