Mansion Tyne in Newcastle is a student accommodation found just a short walk from Northumbria University and Newcastle University.

It is home to some of the city's 42,000-strong student population and is often chosen for its prime location and views of the Quayside from some rooms.

Mansion Tyne has hit headlines this week after the body of a 24-year-old Northumbria University student was found in one of the accommodation's rooms.

Northumbria Police have launched a murder investigation and arrested a 21-year-old man. More on the ongoing investigation can be found here.

Mansion Tyne is found on Howard Street in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. It is in between the city centre, Sandyford and Byker.

Howard Street is just a few minutes' walk from the Quayside and its nearest Metro station is Manors.

Students living at the accommodation can be on campus in the city centre in around 10 minutes.
