‘Originals Newcastle’ exhibition sees Adidas bring its iconic footwear to the city

Adidas Originals has announced that it is bringing a brand new footwear exhibition to Newcastle, in partnership with END.
The event will be open daily from Friday, October 27, until Sunday, November 5, and will be based at the Newcastle Contemporary Art Gallery.

Hide AdVisitors can expect to see a mixture of archival and contemporary footwear, as well as limited edition releases and signed personal pairs.
Organisers have stated that the exhibition is free to attend and a series of accompanying curated events will also be unveiled closer to the time.
Adidas SPEZIAL has confirmed that there will be signed shoes from the likes of Liam and Noel Gallagher, Stormzy, Run DMC, Ian Brown, Lily Allen, and more.
There will also be an exclusive preview of the forthcoming adidas SPEZIAL AW23 footwear collection, accompanied by a full display from the adidas SPEZIAL archive.

Hide AdThe exhibition will be the latest in a number of Adidas-related activities happening in and around Newcastle.
Geordie singer-songwriter Sam Fender revealed a collaboration with Adidas Originals last week on his Instagram page.

The 30-second clip shows Sam in his home town of North Shields where he highlights how much Newcastle and Adidas go hand in hand.

Hide AdAlongside the social media advert, a huge mural of Sam Fender with an Adidas ‘Gazelle’ trainer was unveiled in Newcastle city centre.
It all stems from Newcastle United announcing a multi-year partnership with Adidas at the start of September, with the sportswear brand returning as the club’s official kit partner from the 2024/25 season onwards.
Adidas has produced some of Newcastle’s most iconic Premier League shirts, particularly during the Kevin Keegan’s Entertainers era in the 90s.
