Vicky Pattison takes a stand against Photoshop apps and filters.

The former Geordie Shore star, 35, from Newcastle, has teamed up with body and mind trainer, Iain Reitz and bestselling author, Anna Mathur to host a wellness retreat at Croftview in Somerset in July.

Vicky took to Instagram to announce the getaway with a snap of herself donned in black leggings and a matching sports bra. She looked  toned and confident with a healthy glow against the backdrop of green fields and blue skies. She captioned the snap: “I love the person I’m becoming... because I have fought to become her ♥️.

“The journey to being healthy and happy- both mentally and physically can be a pretty difficult one.. and it’s not always linear ♥️ We are constantly dealt setbacks and are given new hurdles to overcome. Whether it be evolving beauty standards, ever improving editing and photoshopping apps or the ludicrous amount of so called perfection we consume on a daily basis via social media 🤦🏻‍♀️ It feels like society doesn’t want us to just be confident and content in our own skin.”

Vicky added: “We want to put a stop to that! We want to allow women a safe space to come and grow and heal and learn to love themselves through wellness, nature and understanding the body & mind.”

Vicky and fiancé, Ercan, have teamed up with Iain Reitz and Anna Mathur to host a wellness retreat in a luxury country pile equipped with a games room, indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and a big patio for alfresco dining.

Vicky’s retreat will run from Monday 17 July to 21 July and will include tips on building your self confidence, lessons on mindfulness, physical and mental well- being coaching, food prepared by a private chef as well as training sessions with Ercan and Iain. This is just a taster as Croftview sits on the side of a hill on a 1,200 acre private estate in South Somerset with incredible views.
