“It doesn’t ever get easier. The more time passes the sadder I get that you aren’t here. I get sad that Ercan will never meet you and have the chance to see how amazing you are. I feel angry that Mavie or Annie never got their uncle Paul and I feel heartbroken that you didn’t get to see Kailee walk down the aisle and become the most beautiful bride ever.”

She added: “You deserved your own milestones too Paul but you were just too good for this world. You will take great joy in knowing that you are still so loved, so talked about and everytime I see a man in a checked shirt or hear a Tina Turner song, I think of you... We all think of you, and not a drunken night goes by where we don’t toast you. You will forever be missed, Mr Burns and the world is just less bright without you in it. 💙”

Vicky’s  followers were quick to comment, with one saying: “My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time sending lots of love & hugs your way.” Another added: “Oh my goodness what beautiful words and so so true.”

collapsed in the street after celebrating his birthday in 2018. An inquest found ‘high’ levels of the party drug MDMA in his system, which had caused his heart to stop.

Coroner Karen Dilks told Chronicle Live that in the early hours of 2 June 2018, Burns was witnessed by a member of the public “sitting on a wall and appeared to be swaying with his head in his hands.” A short time later he was seen lying unresponsive on the pavement. Paramedics attended the scene and attempted to resuscitate him, but their efforts were unsuccessful. Every year Vicky posts a tribute to her late best friend honouring his memory.
