Police appeal to find women in connection with Northumberland Street McDonald’s assault on teenage girls

Officers are appealing for help after reports that two 14-year-old girls were assaulted at McDonald's on Northumberland Street.

The incident happened at around 9 pm on Saturday, April 23.

The youngsters were approached by a group of women they did not know and assaulted.

The victims sustained minor injuries to their arms and legs and reported the matter to police.

An investigation was launched as part of their enquiries, officers have already spoken to a number of witnesses and reviewed CCTV of the incident.

They are now asking anyone who might have been in the area the time to get in touch.
