The star looked as at ease as ever on the Utilita Arena stage as he rattled through an hour and a half of his biggest hits and deeper cuts to an eager Geordie crowd.
North East passion reached a high towards the end of the night as Stormzy picked up a Newcastle United shirt that had been thrown on stage by a fan.
The jersey had initially fallen off the stage and into the clutches of a security guard but the star circled back to make sure it got handed over.
