Last night Newcastle United beat Everton ,strengthening the Toon’s position in the top four and worsening the home-side’s prospects in their relegation battle.

After a shaky start the Mags managed to put four past Jordan Pickford at Goodison Park, meaning United have scored an incredible 10 goals in their last two matches.

And with the striking form of some of the players, and Southampton at home on Sunday, it’s easy to suspect the goals will just keep on coming.

Off the pitch, however, players and fans were welcomed with a hostile and heated reception. Amidst the Toffee’s scrap to stay in the top flight for two successive seasons there is unrest amongst fans who are calling for the removal of their board.

But after Newcastle’s third goal the severe atmosphere subsided as the home fans began to exit in their thousands, leaving behind a half empty stadium.

For Geordies, however, it was a great night full of goals, celebrations and passion with thousands of fans making the trip down to Liverpool. So, here are some of the best photos from last night at Goodison Park.
