Last night, Newcastle United crashed out of the Champions League after losing to AC Milan 2-1 at St James' Park.

But for a while fans were confident after Joelinton smashed home an amazing goal which put United 1-0 up. The goal left Maxi in awe too.

The winger posted a video of him reacting to his former teammate's goal to Instagram, shouting 'vamos' into his phone to show his support.

But by the full-time whistle, Milan clawed two back leaving fans and players alike heartbroken. And Maxi felt it too.

"No words," is the message he shared to social media to share his devastation.

The defeat is United's third in a row, after Everton and Tottenham Hotspur, making it an uncharacteristic run for Eddie Howe's side.

The Magpies are back in action on December 16 against Fulham (3 pm kick-off)
