Mehrdad Ghodoussi has backed Newcastle United to “come back stronger” following the late defeat at 10-man Everton.
Eddie Howe’s side lost for the second game in a row following Alex Iwobi’s stoppage-time winner at Goodison Park.

Hide AdIt came around 15 minutes after Allan was sent off for the home side for a late but cynical foul on substitute Allan Saint-Maximin.
Match referee Craig Pawson initially awarded a yellow card but changed his decision after reviewing it at the VAR pitchside monitor.
It presented United with an opportunity to clinch a victory that would lifted them 12 points above the Premier League relegation.
However, Howe’s men blew it completely as Iwobi linked up with Dominic Calvert-Lewin in stoppage time to send the home crowd into pandemonium.

Hide AdThe manner in which Newcastle lost the game was difficult to take, however co-owner Ghodoussi has backed Howe and his players to bounce back.
He tweeted: “Disappointing result tonight. But we’ll take stock, re-focus and come back stronger.”
Newcastle jet off to Dubai today for their second warm-weather training camp of the year.
United travelled to Saudi Arabia in January, which proved the catalyst to the surge away from the drop zone.

Hide AdHowe’s side were on a nine-game unbeaten run before back-to-back defeats at Chelsea and Everton.
Howe hopes the trip to the Middle East will have a similar effect as he looks to guide the club to top-flight safety.
