Newcastle United are training in Dubai but two major players have been enjoying themselves elsewhere

The Newcastle United squad flew straight to Dubai from their Nottingham Forest game on Friday night for their mid-season training camp.

For the players who haven’t been called up by their international team during the break, the trip will serve as chance to prepare for the final throes of the season.

The camp is thought to be behind-closed-doors, with the club’s photographer and videographer seemingly yet to arrive

However, from social media, it is clear there is two noticeable absences from the squad.

Neither Bruno Guimaraes nor Joelinton are in Dubai despite not having been called up to the Brazil national team for their friendly against Morocco.

Bruno and his partner Ana Lidia Martins are in the Maldives whilst Joelinton and his partner Thays Gondim are back in Brazil.

Both couples have been posting heavily on Instagram, with Newcastle’s no.7 partying with friends yesterday.

The Magpies have a two week gap before their Premier League game against Manchester United on 2 April- a replay of the Carabao Cup final.
