Newcastle United’s players are arriving at St James’ Park ahead of facing Bromley in the third round of the FA Cup (kick-off 3pm).

Eddie Howe is expected to heavily rotate his starting XI following an intense week with away wins at Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal. The likes of Lloyd Kelly, Lewis Miley, Sean Longstaff, Harvey Barnes and Will Osula are in line to start.

While Newcastle’s bench is still expected to feature important senior names, there will be an opportunity for some of the younger players. And that includes 17-year-old Trevan Sanusi, who regularly featured for the first-team in pre-season before returning to the under-21s.

Speaking to NewcastleWorld in August, Sanusi said: “Excellent. t's a dream come true to get in the first team. Since I came [to Newcastle] - it's only been a year - so I'm proud of myself for doing that and I just need to take my chances when I get them.

“I've just been here for a year and I'm only 17 so I think I've got a bit of time to think about that sort of stuff so I'm not really keen on that right now - I just want to break into the first team.”

Meanwhile, Martin Dubravka has been spotted at St James’ Park as the Magpies hope to reach an agreement to keep him at the club beyond the January transfer window.

The Slovakian has an offer on the table from Saudi Pro League side Al Shabab but having won all seven games since coming into side for the injured Nick Pope, United want the 35-year-old to stay.

“I think Martin has been in a difficult situation, like any player that is coming out of contract in the summer,” said Howe. “Always with any player I’ve worked with there is always that feeling of doubt. He will naturally want some conclusions in his future, whether that’s a new contract with us or whatever the outcome.

“But he’s certainly played very well and I’ve been really pleased with him. I think he has more than played his part in our recent run of fixtures. Against Arsenal I thought he was very good so hopefully we can come to some sort of agreement with him.”
